Integrating Parents Into Play Therapy: Three Models with Variations
About the Workshop
I am excited to announce that I am once again offering training through Growth Through Play Therapy training associates.
Saturday, November 1, I will be offering a 3 hour workshop: Inviting Parents into Play Therapy: Three Models with Variations. This workshop explores three play therapy models–Family Play Therapy, Theraplay (™) and Filial Therapy–that have been used for decades to work with parents and children together in play therapy. Overview, history, and experiential exercises will highlight the strengths of each model. Case studies will be used to explore why one model might be chosen over another for a particular case. The workshop will also explore how these models might be adapted, combined with one another, or used in conjunction with non-directive play therapy to address complex cases.
