Experience and Focus
Katrinca offers Therapy, Consultation and Training based on a strong background in Child Development: educated in human development and counseling psychology with emphasis on children and adolescents, coupled with 30+ years of observing and interacting with children and families in a variety of settings including 14 years of teaching pre-school. For over a decade now in private practice she has been helping parents understand the particular needs of individual children and families in the context of wider developmental issues and offering her insights in workshops and trainings for teachers and health care professionals.
Her primary focus has been on how the development of a particular child might be impacted by attachment issues, trauma or developmental disabilities. Underlying all of her work is an interest in play; how it functions in normal child development and how it can be used as a tool for healing the child and the family.
